Meet the Sahelis of Dholpur. Women who stepped out of their villages for the very first time to represent their work at the Jaipur Literature Festival through Frontier Markets’ solar café initiative.

What began as a journey outside their homes became a turning point in how they saw themselves and how their communities saw them. Despite rumours and resistance back in their village, one woman returned with proof of her work and earned the respect of those who once doubted her.

Today, the same family that questioned her choices encourages a different future for the next generation.
