When I was a child, I saw a tiger cross the canal as it was about to attack us. For Md. Mujahidur Rahman Rubel, the Sundarbans are more than a forest — they are home, livelihood, and protection. He has seen tigers stray into villages and people live in fear. Today, through Friendship and the Mountains to Mangroves initiative, Rubel works as a community caretaker is guarding saplings, protecting the forest, and helping people and tigers coexist safely. Plantation here restores habitats, reduces conflict, shields communities from storms, and creates jobs. What was once a place of fear is becoming a place of balance. Join us in supporting the #MountainsToMangroves initiative.
