This film follows life in Jodhpur, where summer temperatures often cross 45°C and even nights stay uncomfortably warm. As the city expands, the urban heat island effect is intensifying the crisis — leaving daily wage earners, auto drivers, and outdoor workers with little escape.
Through voices from the ground and expert insights, it explores Jodhpur’s first Heat Action Plan, developed by Mahila Housing Trust and NRDC, and its standout solution: net-zero cooling shelters. Powered by solar energy and designed with vetiver curtains, reflective paints, and mist systems, these shelters offer lifesaving respite to dozens each day — even during power cuts.
A story of adaptation, resilience, and innovation in one of India’s hottest cities.
