Jitban is addressing the issue of food wastage by enhancing the cold-supply chain. They are pursuing a sustainable, environmentally friendly, and healthy approach to extending the shelf life of fruits. Instead of relying on carbide and other chemicals to increase fruit longevity, they employ a method called 'Hot Water Treatment.' This involves boiling fruits at a specific temperature, instantly eliminating any fungal presence, thereby aiding in keeping the fruits fresh without any chemical additives. So far, they have established a presence in 7 states and have assisted over 500 fruit vendors.
