In Kivikhu, climate change dried up the fishing ponds and left the rivers parched. But the women of the village refused to stand by. By uniting their Self-Help Groups, they are planting banana trees along the riverbanks to naturally raise groundwater levels and revive their drying springs.

One sapling at a time, they are securing water for the next generation.
