Does a family in Bihar, India, recognise the need for self reflect on the way they have been approaching family planning- with biased preconceived cultural notions playing a huge role in determining access to services like contraception and abortion and the need to rise above them. This series speaks to the women of Bihar and those surrounding their reproductive choice that in turn help us to share authentic testimonies of their journey in accessing family planning services.
The series also helps us in answering many questions on the healthcare front in the state that defines the road to dignity for these women. Do healthcare providers, including ASHAs, ANMs ensure care with dignity while providing family planning services to lower-income women in Patna? Do they recognise the need and responsibility to provide family planning services like contraception and legal abortion to lower-income women in India?Follow
