Here are the key announcements:

iOS 14

Apple gave a first look at iOS 14, the new update coming to iPhones later this year

The home screen will come with widgets. It is also adding App Library, a new feature that automatically organizes apps based on their categories

Picture in Picture mode

With Picture-in-Picture support, iPhone users can now watch a video or take a FaceTime call while using another app

Map view for Cycling and EV users

Apple Maps will includes a new cycling-specific navigation and it will get a view that lets EV drivers know where chargers are along their routes

More varied Memoji

New Memoji options in Messages will be more inclusive and diverse with additional hairstyles, head wear and more accessories like face masks and emotions, like blushing

Digital Car Key

You can register a key in your Apple Wallet, and when you walk up to a supported car, you’ll unlock it via NFC.

App Clips

Apple also debuted App Clips that allows you to do in-app activities outside the app like quick payments, media sharing etc

Scribble on iPad

‘Scribble’ allows you to write in any text field with the Apple Pencil, and automatically converts it to text.

Face sharing on the Apple Watch

Apple will allow you to customise the watch face and include more widgets and technical features
