MHA has issued guidelines to follow during the extended lockdown till May 3

This comes a day after PM Modi announced the extension of the nationwide lockdown till May 3

Here are guidelines during the lockdown:

1. A strict ban has been imposed on the sale of tobacco, gutka and liquor during the lockdown

2. The government has allowed industries functioning in rural areas, to resume operations from April 30 but with strict social distancing norms.

3. Gatherings of funerals and marriages will be monitored and regulated by the District Magistrate.

4. All educational, training institution etc shall remain closed

5. Cinema halls, malls, shopping/sports complexes, gyms, swimming pools, theaters, bars etc to remain closed till May 3.

6. Work spaces have been asked to conduct screening of all employees and maintain a gap of 1 hour in between shifts etc

7. All international, domestic flights remain suspended till May 3 including train services

8. Shops of farm machinery, its spare parts, supply chain, repairs, 'Custom Hiring Centres' related to machinery to remain open from Apr 20

9. Highway 'dhabas', truck repairing shops, call centres for government activities to remain open from April 20.

10. Services provided by self-employed electricians, IT repairs, plumbers, carpenters to be allowed from April 20.
