Global warming impacts on India will be huge: IPCC report

The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) report says that

it’s likely the globe will reach 1.5°C of warming between 2030 and 2052

It predicted that India and other countries with large populations..

dependent on agriculture and fishery will be highly impacted

This will be due to the greater sea level rise,

higher frequency of droughts and floods

and heatwaves

Also, unprecedented climate extremes could push poverty by several million by 2050

The Centre for Science and Environment (CSE) says, the impacts at 2°C are ‘catastrophic’ for India

Environment Minister Harsh Vardhan said that all efforts are already been put to ensure that the global temperature does not further increase

Scientists say we have 12 years to save the planet From Catastrophic Climate change
