The government of India issues new Unlock 4 guidelines

Unlock 4 will begin from September 1, 2020

Here's what's new:

1. Metro rail services will be operational from September 7 in a graded manner

Social, academic, sports, religious and other functions will be allowed with a limit of 100 people

3.

Open air theatres will be permitted to open from September 21

4.

States, UTs may permit upto 50% of teaching, non-teaching staff to be called to schools for online teaching, tele-counselling related work

5.

State/UT governments will not impose any local lockdown, outside the containment zones, without prior consultation with the Central government

What remains the same:

1. Schools, colleges, educational and coaching institutions will continue to remain closed for students and class activity upto September 30

2.

There will be no restriction on inter-state and intra-state movement of persons and goods

3.

Lockdown will continue to be implemented strictly in the containment zones till September 30

'Unlock 4' will be in effect till September 30
