India’s capital Delhi is busy brewing young entrepreneurs. A project of the Delhi government, a novel initiative called Business Blasters aims to develop an entrepreneurial spirit among students and make them, in the words of Manish Sisodia, Education Minister and Deputy Chief Minister of the Delhi government "Job creators not job seekers." Under this programme, students from Classes 11 and 12 of Delhi government-run schools will get a seed funding of Rs 2,000 to support their innovative business ideas. The programme, launched under the ‘entrepreneurship mindset curriculum’, is aimed at developing young entrepreneurs at the school level. Three lakh students studying in Delhi government schools have so far generated nearly 51,000 business ideas.
