Plastic pollution is choking our marine life. Olive Ridley turtles are no different. Every year, Olive Ridley turtles travel to India from Australia and Gulf of Mexico for mass nesting.

However, since past few years, their numbers have decreased significantly owing to massive amount of pollution on the sea shores where they breed. In a bid to make the local beaches fit for breeding of Olive Ridley turtles, the Visakhapatnam circle of Andhra Pradesh forest department, environmental organisation Wildlife Conservation through Research and Education (WCTRE) organised a beach clean up at RK beach in Andhra Pradesh
