With each red dot, a fire detected by the satellite indicates the total number of fires in a region. The total number of fires detected in the month of September in the state of Punjab was the highest in the nine years of the fire data records. How can we use the historic farm fire data and its analysis to help track farm fires better? And more importantly, can it help us in arriving at a solution for our stubble burning menace?
