Meet the rural women entrepreneurs of India who are transforming the business ecosystem in small towns of the country. Using innovative ideas, these businesswomen have also given opportunities for other women from rural areas. This has been possible through formation of self-help groups. The story of former International hockey player, Rita Mishra is not less than an inspiration for most women. Rita, who is a supervisor at the Indian Railways, has adopted three villages on the outskirts of Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh. On her day-off, she visits these villages and empowers the women to start their self-help groups and earn by themselves. Rita's initiative is changing the lives of many women and setting an example for the next generation's rural entrepreneurs.
