Auroville has come across several protest these days. The township is known for its humanitarian model where several sustainable solutions are practised. Recently, it has come under fire with Auroville Foundation willing to implement the 'master plan'. Trees are being uprooted by the JCBs called in by the foundation. These measure are being countered by the residents who are strongly in opposition of the same.
