The sight of an injured animal doesn’t bode well with anyone. Bhumit Vyas, a dog lover from India’s western state of Gujarat used to feed over 50 stray dogs a day before he rescued his own best friend Pilu, his dog, nine years ago. Vyas was heartbroken when he came across injured dogs who had difficulty in mobility and accessing the shelter. The web designer, who was looking to donate wheelchairs for nearby animal shelters and NGOs, realised that the ones available in the market are so high priced that NGOs and shelters could not possibly afford them. This is when he started to create his own range of wheelchairs for dogs.
