Radhika Bharadwaj from the Garkhara village in Varanasi learnt to run a business on her own. With a little bit of trial and error, she decided to empower the rural women in her village by giving them a source of employment. But how did she make that happen? By setting up Santoshi Ma self-help group in her village. She started by making PPE kits, masks, cloth bags, agarbatti and even LED light bulbs in her gram sangathan. Today, she has her own Rose agarbatti brand that has enabled many small women entrepreneurs in her village.
