Meet Ita Mehrotra, a graphic artist who spins illustrations and comic books around socio-political events in India. The author of Shaheen Bagh: A Graphic Recollection - Ita talks about the process of creating a graphic narrative. Through the portrayal of women’s stories in image and word, we re-enter some of the many poignant dialogues, debates and questions that were raised about citizenship, democracy and minority rights, over the course of the movement. From the Chipko movement to the Shaheen Bagh protest her art brings alive the women's role in movements would be seen and understood.
