The pendemic jeopardised the schooling of 11 million girls in rural India. But Puneeta, Nisha, Rinku and Pinky, from Kushinagar, UP, decided to not let the pandemic worsen the relentless problem of school dropout. The four girls began a school enrolment campaign during the pandemic to ensure no girls in their village would lose access to education. It&rsquo;s a campaign that sensitised 1500 people across 10 villages in Uttar Pradesh and engaged with 218 Mushahar families. Enabling 166 children (52 boys and 114 girls) to be enrolled in school. Winner of the WAN INFRA South Asian Digital Media and nominee of two Scarab Film awards, this documentary heralds their story of change.
