According to the UN data, there are over 476 million indigenous people living in 90 countries across the world. They are among the first to face the direct consequences of climate change. Indigenous women have always been part of their peoples’ struggles, whether nationally or at international levels. But they still suffer from multiple discrimination, both as women and as Indigenous individuals. In this episode, Archana Soreng, Former UN Secretary General, Youth Advisory Group on Climate Change, highlights the impact of climate change on the lives of indigenous people, especially women.
