The coronavirus lockdown inspired a group of volunteers that organically mobilized into the Migrant Travel Support Group. (Jeevan Stambh Foundation ) They joined their resources to help in sending stranded migrant workers home. For the last few months, they have been sending migrants back from Delhi-NCR to their homes in Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and West Bengal.

The support group received requests through Twitter and other social media platforms. Crowdfunding their way to allocate resources, the team has helped several migrants stuck in a limbo, from pregnant women to those with young children, the group has supported and rescued several migrant workers.
