What do we want? Climate action! When do we want it? Now! The world is changing and amid warnings of climate change leading to extreme weather events in Maharashtra - like extreme droughts, flash floods, submerged coastlines and cyclones, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation has started preparing the Mumbai Climate Action Plan (MCAP). And Navi Mumbai's very own #HawaKeRakshak want you to know about how their state is planning to combat their one common enemy - climate change. The Climate Action Plan will look at climate resilience with mitigation and adaptation strategies by focusing on six areas — sustainable waste management, urban greening and biodiversity, urban flooding and water resource management, building energy efficiency, air quality, and sustainable mobility. And while the state stirs up stringent mechanisms to monitor these, our young eco warriors are working on a path to restore the balance of earth by urging you all to search for solutions to pollution in your local community.
