Around 39 per cent of all registered vehicles in India are freight vehicles, whose emissions account for 30 to 50 per cent of the total road transport carbon emissions. Therefore, there is a need to systematically electrify freight transportation if India has to meet its EV targets of 2030.
In this episode of EV OK Please, we take a closer look at how electric vehicles are solving last mile connectivity issues with Project EcoLogistics’s efforts in electrifying last mile mobility in Panjim, Goa. We analyse how their co-funded EVs are helping local businesses — Goencho Xetkar and Bookworm — in reducing their costs as well as their carbon footprints.
