Why can't girls talk about periods? Why are they still living under the blanket of a taboo? And more importantly, why don't we tell them about basic things to expect when they hit puberty? Many adolescents like Nisha didn't have access to knowledge about sexual and reproductive health rights when they first hit puberty. But getting associated with Project Baala has helped her fill the void and find the answers to all the questions inside her head. Distributing sanitary napkins, educating young girls about menstruation and teaching women about menstrual hygiene, Baala Bosses are starting conversations around sexual health and reproductive rights.
